The AstroAspex™ is an Astrological Aspect Finder that was invented by Jen Govey as she wanted an easier and quicker way to find aspects in an astrology chart without fiddling with a protractor and working out the complex degrees and angles. Let's face it protactors are great, but they were not designed for this specific job. They are too small and have detail not relevant.

The great thing about the AstroAspex™ is that it makes life much easier for the serious amateur and professional astrologer. The AstroAspex™ is an acurate display of all the major and most of the minor astrological aspects on a clear plastic sheet.

The Aspects included in this new astrology tool include all the major aspects:

• Conjunction
• Sextile
• Square
• Trine
• Opposition

The minor aspects included are:

• Quintile
• Semi-sextile
• Semi-square
• Inconjunct
• Sesquiquadrate

The finder also includes keywords and orb degrees for each aspect so you can have an idea of the aspect meaning and orb without having to immediately having to consult a book. It’s even colour coded to quickly see the harmonious and challenging aspects at a glance. It’s so easy to use!

You just place the AstroAspex™ over your chart lining up the spot on the centre point of the chart wheel. You then place the conjunction glyph on the planet you want to find aspects to. Then, all you do is look around the chart to see if there are any aspect matches. These are planets that are on or close (within the relevant orb degree) to a coloured line. At the end of the coloured aspect lines you will see the aspect glyph to tell you which aspect has been formed.

Jen has been working with this idea since early 2003 and created a simple hand drawn prototype using a protractor, ruler, indelible pen on an A4 plastic presentation cover. In early 2007 Jen created a more accurate version using a professional version of PhotoShop and printing on Transparency Film to give a professional, high quality finish.
