Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting my shop and having a look around.
The name Phoenix Leo is inspired by the Phoenix for it's symbolism with rebirth and renewal and Leo because I was born under the astrological sign of Leo (I have my Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Pallas Athene in Leo) and have always felt blessed by this influence of the benevolent Lion.

I ordered my first mala off Ebay for £5.99. It was two beads short and the tassel was 5 tiny pieces of lurid pink nylon 'wool'. It may have been reikied, but I didn't feel the love. I was unable to discard as it was going to be my meditation mala and I had picked this particular one for a reason that I knew from my soul to my bones... I just didn't know exactly why.
Although I had never owned a mala before and without thinking I had whipped of the wool and made a little orange and gold tassel out of some embrodery silks and some gold thread. 'Where did that come from?' I thought. 'How did I do that?' I was so surprised I called my dear friend Caroline, who wisely asked 'Does it have all it's beads?' .... 'Ummm, no, it didn't'. I was two beads short of a mala! Instead of getting a refund, I asked for a discount as I felt very strongly I wanted to get some beads and fix it, so that's what I did and that is how I made my first mala. I decided I wanted a Tiger Eye gemstone as a guru bead. Lovely!

My First Mala
I loved it. I wanted to do it again!!! So I decided to make my close friends and family malas for either birthday or Christmas... whenever was sooner. So I carefully researched and got myself all the bits and bobs I needed. I made one for my friend Lisa, who loved it, so I got more beads and made one for Caroline (Caroline needed different beads - that's when I realised that the best malas are made with the right stones and energy for that individual person and for what they needed spiritually). I loved Carolines mala so much I remade mine again and Caroline loved hers so much that she ordered one for her friend Paul for his birthday. 'Hmmm... you want to pay me for making you a mala?', 'Yes!'... I suddenly realised that getting paid means I can get more beads!!!. More beads meant more malas!!! 'Bespoke Mala's Made with Love' was born. I asked spirit for a price as it seemed like I couldn't choose one. I was given £10.83 - a cosmic price symbolising the 108 beads and 3 for the trinity.

Word got around and I got some more orders in. I had then recently started attending a closed Circle and found I was working spiritually when making malas and it has become a sacred part of my own spiritual practice and service. My methods have grown with my experience and they change to suit the individual person I am making them for. It is such a beautiful, loving experience that I find incredibly rewarding.
I really love making them and so far no two malas have been the same. It has always been a different experience tailored spiritually to suit the best needs of the individual. I fill the malas with my love and blessings. All are lovingly and mindfully prepared and made and I am spiritually guided when I work. I meditate, pray, bless, program and energise the beads for their intended purpose. I have even sung to some of my malas! Lit candles, chanted - whatever is needed and is right for the individual I am making them for. I also use sanskrit mantras and affirmations. My intention is for the new owner to experience pure, divine spiritual love and healing while using the mala as well as positive energies to inspire and aid spiritual growth.

In November 2008 I sold my first mala on Ebay to Ray, my second to Kirsten and it is truly such a joy to meet new friends and make malas for them. It seems our paths are crossing for a reason and I feel like I am fullfiling a good purpose, that somehow really seems to help people on their own spiritual path, so I set up this website so I can continue my work. I'm even thinking of starting a club so all my mala friends can chat!
Although I have been using energy healing for many, many years, I only started learning 'officially' in January 2008 where I attended Spiritual Healing classes at my local Spiritualist Church. I passed my Reiki One in June 2008 and my Reiki Two Practitioner level in October 2008 and I am currently working towards my Master Attunement and intend to go as far as I can with learning Reiki as I just love the purity and divine love in the energy as well as it's effectiveness.
Reiki is an intelligent energy and knows what is best for the individual for their highest good and purpose. I Reiki bless my malas as well as have my Reiki 'on' while I make them. I also send distance healing to the new owner if they request it and this is sent to be activated during sleep time. It is also programmed to activate when you use your new mala.
I have also designed a Reiki healing dolphin mandala drink coaster to charge water with healing energy. I love making mandalas and was inspired by my friend Lisa Tenzin-Dolma.
Blessings!
Love, Jen x
